Re: It Starts - again...
Well just made the rounds with my CO2 Reactor and cannot find a good solution to bring it to 3/4 inch... If you look at this diagram, you would think you could swap out Part #2 for a different barb size - but the threading is not like anything I could find...
Plan B is to see if my tiny Eheim Ecco (the smallest one they make) will run it. Place C is use a Glass Diffusor and Rio 90 until I figure out a better plan.

Re: It Starts - again...
Dan, On my new 30 set up. I have a glass diffuser right under the filter intake and about 90% of the bubbles go right into the intake.
You may want to try that out instead of using the Rio so scatter them around the tank, it will be 90% reactor and 10% glass diffuser.

Re: It Starts - again...
I wonder how well this Eheim would take to chewing bubbles
could be an expensive experiment...

It just makes it recalculate every so often when it senses bubbles near the impeller and might do the pulse setup to kick them freel "cool feature".

Re: It Starts - again...
would remaining at your current fittings really hamper your CO2 that much? Do you absolutely need to fix it? Or is it even broken?

Re: It Starts - again...
well I used to use twp XP3's - the one with the reactor made less than 1/2 the current of the other. I was using reducers into the CO2 Reactor...

Re: It Starts - again...
Plan for the moment is to use my Rio 90 and a small diffusor for a couple of days while I figure out how to get the reactor hooked up again...

Like the new floor also.
Looks like you moved into a new house in the same place.

Re: It Starts - again...
well, seeing as I was making good progress today, I decided to add the substrate, various ada additives and the rocks. I have been wanting to do a kind of "rocks in front" thing for a while. Hopefully the won't all get completely buried in plants in the next couple of months. Here is my first pass with the rest of my seiryu stone:
ok - this time I am really done for the day...
